**About the Role**:
We have an exciting opportunity available within the Asset Performance & Improvement global team - Technical division. This team works in partnership with Asset leaders to deliver the highest impact operational improvement opportunities through data-driven benchmarking, opportunity identification, a single aligned improvement plan, and asset delivery support.
We are seeking experienced improvement professionals for the role of Principal Performance & Improvement - Nickel West. This role supports our BHP Nickel West Asset.
In this high profile dynamic role, key responsibilities will include:
- Be a key team member of multidisciplinary improvement teams
- Work in partnership with Asset leaders to identify, align on plan and deliver the highest impact operational improvement projects.
- Lead the delivery of sustaining activities required to achieve project benefits post-implementation.
- Support the development and delivery of initiative pipelines at each site so they are sufficient to achieve unit cost outcomes
**About You**:
To be successful in this role you will have experience supporting, leading and delivering large-scale, high-value improvement projects. You will be able to effectively support the identification, scoping, planning and delivery of improvement projects. You will utilise your strong analytical skills and sound business acumen to get to the root cause of problems.
You are able to establish credibility through your technical ability and excellent communication skills. An ability to constructively question ideas and build trusted relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders is essential.
You will bring a sound understanding of key business performance drivers and will have demonstrated experience working within an innovative, best practice continuous improvement function.
Energetic and results-orientated, you work well under pressure and are comfortable with ambiguity.
- Demonstrable experience supporting the delivery and realisation of large-scale and complex improvement/transformation projects.
- Experience developing integrated asset or business plans.
- Proven experience working with or on multidisciplinary project teams.
- Experience in managing senior relationships within large organisations.
- Expertise in designing and implementing solutions.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Previous mining or asset-intensive industry experience is preferred
- Experience working within a consultancy role would be highly advantageous
**Location**:
In this permanent full-time position, you will be based in Perth, Western Australia, in the multi-award-winning office tower - 'City Square'. You will have stunning river views from your modern open plan office, state-of-the-art facilities including virtual whiteboards and video conferencing facilities, 550 bicycle racks with ample lockers, showers, and change room amenities, and a large outdoor terrace with barbecues.
You will be working on a Monday-Friday roster with flexible work arrangements also offered.
