Your Opportunity
The Education Improvement Branch (EIB) supports continuous improvement in Queensland state schools and education centres. Its school reviews promote improvement and accountability, while also providing schools with support and building the capability of principals. In addition to operationalising school reviews, the branch trains school leaders in the National School Improvement Tool, case manages schools requiring additional support, undertakes research and shares good practice across the system. The El B's research team plays a significant role in informing education improvement through research and evidence. The team analyses school review reports, conducts research and literature reviews and shares key findings and evidence-based effective practice through various research publications. As the Principal Research Officer, you will lead research projects within the team that inform and support state schools and the wider education system.
Your Role
As the Principal Research Officer you will have responsibility for the following:

- Leading a range of projects, including the production of research papers, school case studies, literature reviews and evaluation surveys.
- Analysing data (primarily qualitative data) related to the work of the branch, and drafting findings.
- Coordinating consultation with stakeholders to inform research publications.
- Tailoring research findings for the target audience.

When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
