**About Us**

Our Orthopaedic Surgical practice is recently established, and we have set up rooms in Hornsby and Macquarie Park. The new staff would be working Monday, Wednesday (am - onsite at Macquarie, pm WFH) and Friday (am - onsite at Hornsby, pm WFH). Our consulting sessions on site may increase in the next 6 months.

Our Surgeon specialises in patients with hand and wrist problems, with patients from a variety of different backgrounds and ages. Our practice's vision is to provide those patients with a smooth, well-functioning, empathetic and supportive patient journey.

You will utilize your internet, and we will provide you with a dedicated laptop and practice mobile phone to use on site and for use whilst WFH (once fully trained and mutually agreed).

As a pivotal member of our team, you will need to demonstrate an exceptional commitment to ensuring our practice runs at its optimum, with strong patient care and an empathetic manner to ensure we display exceptional care for our patient's needs.
- Excellent communication skills with a positive and friendly manner and can-do attitude
- Professional appearance and demeanour (with outstanding customer care and strong skill level) on all aspects of the Medical Secretarial role
- Ability to work independently and also love being part of a team
- You pride yourself on your attention to detail and thrive in implementing and streamlining systems
- Ability to work well under pressure and to multi-task, happily being the gatekeeper for our Surgeon, allowing them to do what they do best - being a Surgeon.
- IT Savvy with great troubleshooting skills
- Experience using **Gentu**:

- or similar medical software programs to manage our practice calendar and Surgeon's appointments - Training can be provided

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Developing and implementing new practice systems
- Setting up consulting rooms
- Welcoming patients into the practice and answering phone calls in an efficient, friendly and courteous manner
- Delivering exceptional customer service at all times (cannot be overstated)
- Professional communication - in person, over the phone and written
- Reception duties including scheduling and managing patient appointments and taking payment
- Performing general administrative duties such as scanning, mail sorting, filing and following-up patient enquiries
- Undertaking Theatre bookings and Surgical billing including patient billing and processing of payments - training can be provided including known Gap and AMA fees
- Supporting and assisting our Surgeon in a range of administration and ad-hoc
- Enjoy being flexible to assist our Surgeon and practice
- Maintain privacy of medical files and office records at all times

Appropriate well above award remuneration based on skills and experience.

**Days/Hours**:
Monday, Wednesday and Friday

8:30am till 5:00pm (30 minute unpaid lunch)

Pay: $38.00 - $40.00 per hour

- Macquarie Park, NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
