Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Policy Officer on a contract for 12 months.

**Position Overview**
- Confident and adaptive leaders with relevant experience, to fill vacancies at the Executive Level 1 (EL1) classification across the Agency.
- Suitable applicants will:

- Be driven by and committed to delivering improved outcomes Agency-wide.
- Have strong influencing and negotiation skills, and be able to develop effective relationships with a range of stakeholders including but not limited to charities,
- community groups, state and territory governments, councils and industry.
- Show initiative, sound judgement, integrity and personal drive.
- Be collegiate, inclusive and build productive relationships, and be able to lead a small high-performing team.
- Work effectively under pressure and in a changing environment to deliver high quality advice and outcomes.
- Have exceptional communication skills, including ability to brief senior executives and ministers within short timeframes.
- Have a sound understanding of disaster and climate management, and the issues facing Australia
