Financial Services Role
The Senior Financial Inclusion Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering training programs that enhance the cultural competency of finance sector professionals. This position contributes to designing and developing education content and programs in collaboration with various stakeholders, including banks, government agencies, and superannuation funds.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate workshops and training sessions on financial inclusion and cultural awareness for diverse audiences.
Create culturally safe and engaging learning environments that cater to the needs of different groups while remaining grounded in First Nations perspectives.
Tailor training content and delivery style to meet audience needs and requirements.
Collaborate with staff and partner organizations to co-design and refine education programs on topics such as homeownership, financial planning, superannuation, and insurance.
Contribute to creating culturally appropriate learning resources, workshop materials, and digital content.
Requirements:
Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
Proven experience as a facilitator or trainer, preferably with corporate, government, or cross-cultural audiences.
Strong understanding of the financial barriers experienced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Knowledge of and prior experience working in the financial services sector or public policy environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
Autonomy and organization skills: Ability to work independently is essential.
This is a senior role that requires strong communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills to support systemic change in financial services.
