This is a fantastic
**13-month fixed term** opportunity for a qualified Electrical/Instrumentation technician to join our onsite generation team based at our Neerabup PowerStation as a
**Operator Maintainer, Electrical/Instrumentation - Power Station & Pipeline.** Responsible for achieving safe and efficient day-to-day operations and maintenance of the Neerabup PowerStation and Neerabup Gas Pipeline and other associated equipment.

With respect, integrity and honesty, you will be responsible for:

- Supporting the power station staff in the coordination of daily operations at the Neerabup Power Station and Neerabup Compression Facility;
- Operation of 2 x Siemens SGT5-2000E open cycle gas turbines generating units to meet Planned Operations schedule;
- Operations of 2 x gas reciprocating gas compressors at the Neerabup Compression Facility
- Completion of routine plant inspections, rounds and readings on gas turbines, gas compressors and gas pipeline and other auxiliary plant;
- Monitoring of the Neerabup Power Station / Gas pipeline and inlet & receiving stations and respond to faults;
- Report on and investigate all operating anomalies, faults and plant availability issues;
- Navigate and interpret information displayed on the Siemens T3000 control system including logic diagrams;
- Navigate and interpret information displayed on FactoryTalk View control system including logic diagrams;
- Respond to alarms generated from the power station and gas compression facility;
- Operate a wide range of auxiliary equipment including fuel gas yard, process water systems and emergency generators;
- Complete operations logs and reports as necessary; and
- Perform operations required for maintenance activities or customer demand.

Here's what you'll need to thrive in this role:

- Possess a relevant **Electrical **trade qualification (WA);
- Instrumentation qualifications & experience an advantage;
- Ability to work both independently and with other team members with mínimal supervision;
- Demonstrated skills in prioritising of work to agreed deadlines;
- Ability to read documents, drawings and procedures;
- Ability to work effectively in a small team environment with a 'Can-do' attitude;
- High level of interpersonal, oral and written communication skills;
- Be proactive, display initiative and contribute to continuous improvement & a continuous learning environment;
- Knowledge of maintenance management systems;
- Power Generation experience an advantage;
- Gas Turbine operations and maintenance an advantage;
- High Voltage switching qualification & experience an advantage;
- Knowledge of HMI and SCADA control systems;
- Knowledge of safe work systems including Permit to Work;
- Hazardous area qualifications or experience an advantage; and
- Ability to compile information, data to generate reports for operational and compliance requirements.
