Mitsui E&P Australia Pty Ltd (MEPAU) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsui & Co. Ltd. We operate as regional headquarters for Mitsui's oil and gas exploration and production business in Australia and New Zealand. We operate gas production facilities in the Mid-West of WA and have recently approved the development of the Waitsia Stage 2 gas production facility.

As a result of this growth, fantastic career opportunities exist for suitably experienced Operator Maintainer to join our team as we enter an exciting phase of operational development. Positions are available for both Dongara residents or on a FIFO basis. We currently have availability for experienced Mechanical-qualified individuals to join our team.

Working within the Field Operations team, these roles will see you responsible for the safe and effective operation and maintenance of the Perth Basin oil and gas facilities whilst ensuring compliance and integrity requirements are met. Roles are on a 2/2 roster basis, including regular night shifts.

**Key responsibilities of the roles will include but are not limited to the following**:

- Key in the delivery of safe production operations and surveillance across multiple sites including facilities in care and maintenance.
- Perform and Lead frontline maintenance activities.
- Champion the permit to work process and comply with all requirements including isolations.
- Lead site contractor management including Permit to work/JHA development.
- Maintain and ensure a comprehensive log of all operational activities for their shift.
- Participate, identify, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Undertake testing of the process to ensure final product is within specification.
- Work on a continuous shift roster and attend callouts if requested.
- Supporting delivery of the business objectives by maintaining compliance with all internal policies, procedures, and relevant statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Provide training and mentoring to less-experienced members of the team, through competency assessments and providing on the job specialized training as required.

**Job Requirements**:
To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience:

- Minimum 5 years as an operator/maintainer in hydrocarbon, chemical or manufacturing industries.
- HR class driver's license
- Certificate 3 or higher in Process Plant Operations with units in gas processing
- Experience in Permit to Work systems as a Permit Authority.
- Good time management, planning and organisational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Packages
- Demonstrated ability to start, stop, monitor, adjust and test processing systems in accordance with documented standards and procedures
