Join a dynamic team of geologists as a Senior Mine Geologist.
Job Description:
The successful person will become a member of a hardworking and committed team who are responsible for the coordination and execution of geological activities at a mine site.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the mine team to ensure geology activities align with the mine plan and budget
Supervise and mentor a team of geologists and technicians to deliver high-quality geological services
Oversight of production and development geology function and routine mine to mill reconciliations
Ensure quality assurance/quality control meets industry best practice
Maintain and coordinate drill schedules to meet production requirements while respecting budgets
About You:
This role would suit a seasoned Senior Mine Geologist with previous experience in open-pit mining.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science (Geology)
Demonstrated experience and understanding of geostatistical and geological principles
Understanding of arid environment regolith profiles and experience with RC drilling supervision
Previous exposure to Vulcan, Deswik, Acquire Systems, and ArcGIS (advantageous)
Ability to work across both production and development geology and willingness to conduct fieldwork when needed
Current and valid manual C-class driver's licence (essential)
Effective communication skills to mentor, train, and relay technical information and activities to team members
