The key responsibilities include:
• Coordinating geology activities across the mine site
• Daily production duties such as in-pit mapping, supervision of mining activities, ore block design, production reporting, and mine-to-mill reconciliation
• Planning and designing resource drilling, lithological logging, QA/QC analysis, and reporting
• Maintaining accurate data processing and geological interpretation of drill data
• Designing grade control drill programs to achieve maximum benefit and accuracy
• Contributing to the delivery of accurate grade control models for grade control and resource development purposes
About the Role
This position is suitable for a tertiary qualified Mine Geologist with previous experience in Open Pit Mining. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of geostatistical and geological principles, as well as experience with RC drilling supervision. Familiarity with Vulcan and Acquire Systems is advantageous. The successful candidate will also have excellent communication skills to convey complex technical information to non-technical team members.
