**About the role**:
We are looking for Occupational Health and Wellbeing Specialist who will be responsible for managing several fit for work, wellness, and health surveillance programs at our Lytton refinery in Brisbane. The role works across Refinery and Lubrications business areas and includes support to contracting partners as well.

The Occupational Health and Wellbeing Specialist role aims to deliver preventative measures aimed at protecting and enhancing the health and wellbeing of our workforce.

**Key outputs required from the role are, but not limited to**:

- Develop, implement, and promote the Refinery Health and Wellness program.
- Coordinate health surveillance activities such as audiometric assessment, respirator fit testing etc, analyse results and recommend health improvement initiatives.
- Recommend strategies to address identified psychosocial hazards and to encourage a best practice approach in their management of psychosocial risk.
- Provide effective management of Worker's Compensation and Return to Work for line managers and staff.
- Assist with first response and primary health care to employees and contractor workforce, as required.
- Liaise with medical and allied health professionals on the medical requirements for Ampol personnel and provide support to contractors.
- Coordinate and execute the annual Drug and Alcohol testing program in line with the Ampol Policy and Procedures.
- Maintain data management of Occupational Health Records for employees and contractors, where appropriate.

**About you**:

- Workplace Health and Safety Qualification (minimum Cert IV) or Allied Health qualification (eg. Physiotherapy, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology) or equivalent knowledge and experience.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role
- Have previous experience as a Rehabilitation Coordinator in Worker's Compensation and Return to Work case management.
- Strong experience in developing and implementing Mental Health programs and strategies to enhance safety and wellbeing.
- Ability to engage with Medical Practitioners
- Demonstrated ability to competently use different computer programs such as Lotus notes, SAP, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
- Proven written & verbal communication skills.
- High regard for patient care and confidentiality
