About the Role

The Social Support Activity Assistant will work within the Day Centre Program at Baptcare by assisting in the development, implementation and evaluation of activity programs for clients, with a focus on their needs, goals and preferences.

Must be willing to work across 2 sites (Ashwood and Bentleigh)

Day Shifts from 8:30am to 4:00pm at both sites

Key Duties

Delivering a lifestyle & leisure social support program that reflects the clients care plan

Participating in the Day Centre's ongoing program, facilitating social groups, and assisting (where necessary) with client's personal care.

About You

You are passionate about continuing to grow your career in social support/lifestyle & leisure. Working as part of a close-knit team, you collaborate with and support others, demonstrating respect in your day-to-day actions.

**You will ideally bring the following**:
Cert IV in Lifestyle & Leisure or extensive experience in running group activities in an aged care environment (graduates welcome to apply)

Working knowledge of those living with dementia /cognitive decline

First Aid (Essential - or be willing to get one)

Current Australian Driver's Licence and own insured vehicle.

Current Influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations or willingness to obtain before commencement.
