**About The Role**

HammondCare regards this role as key in the delivery of relationship-based care which seeks to understand and value every individual as a whole person.

Reporting to the Pastoral Care Manager you will utilise and share your pastoral expertise, coaching staff, and volunteers to support the emotional and spiritual needs and goals of clients, their families, and staff.

This role requires travel to provide pastoral care support to our clients in their home. We have offices at both Batemans Bay and Merimbula and are flexible for the position to be based out of either site. From a site you will provide support to our clients in that region and once every 2-3 weeks the role requires travel to other locations on the South Coast. Our clients are based from Batemans Bay to Eden. Travel and accommodation expenses will be paid.

**About you**
- Strong understanding and experience of people living with dementia, the impact on carers, and journeys of grief and bereavement
- Strong personal and active Christian faith and church involvement
- Theological /Pastoral Care qualifications and experience
- Demonstrated capacity to pastorally care for and enhance the wellbeing of those in need
- Highly developed communication skills including listening, compassion and empathy
- Experience raising up, leading and supporting a team
- Strong administrative and computer skills
- Own car or willingness to contribute towards a packaged full maintained vehicle
