**Your Team**

The Private Markets team is part of CFS's Superannuation & Investments Team which is accountable for the delivery of our private markets strategy (infrastructure, property and private equity). The Associate reports to Executive Director, Head of Unlisted Assets & Private Equity.

This position can be located in Sydney or Melbourne.

**Your Responsibilities**

You will assist in the build-out of the Private Markets capability, including:

- Assisting in the selection of new managers, coinvestment and direct opportunities for preliminary analysis.
- Supporting the execution of new opportunities for the portfolio, including leading financial modelling workstreams as well as other areas of transaction due diligence as well as coordinating activities relation to sourcing, screening, and executing new fund, secondary, and co-investment opportunities.
- Assisting in the preparation of investment recommendations for the investment committee and other decision-making bodies.
- Working with team members to execute transactions and ensure smooth coordination with internal stakeholders and external advisors.
- Researching new sectors within private equity, infrastructure, and property to identify attractive investment opportunities and maintain up-to-date views of macro themes and market trends.
- Closely monitoring the performance of existing investments and managers and providing comprehensive reporting on unlisted asset holdings, including financial analysis.Developing and implementing comprehensive reporting frameworks for unlisted asset holdings.

**Your Capability and Experience**

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about joining a dynamic team where they can be integral to growth and help define the private markets portfolio for further expansion.
- Transaction experience across private equity or infrastructure, within a fund, institutional investor or investment banking environment.
- Excellent financial modelling and analytical skills.
- Good understanding of investment principles and associated risks applicable to both direct investments and externally managed portfolios.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proven ability to produce thorough and quality analysis in line with key investment criteria.
- Transparent, collaborative and naturally curious with a desire to deliver excellence in a high performing, growth-oriented team.Graduate degree with a major in business administration, finance or any related discipline.
