**The opportunity**

Join our dynamic community healthcare organization and become a pivotal member of our engaged workforce. We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Psychologist, or Mental Health Social Worker to join our team, in providing counselling, family therapy, and Single Session Consultations to young people, carers, and families, employing a trauma-informed family therapy approach to enhance mental health and wellbeing outcomes at both headspace Hawthorn.

Your responsibilities will include conducting assessments, collaboratively developing goals with clients, and ensuring they are connected to essential support networks. Additionally, you will deliver educational and support groups to young people and/or family and carers. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people and families, with services delivered both in person and via telehealth.

**What you will** be doing**Key Responsibilities
- Deliver individual counselling to young people (12-25years) and family/carers following evidence-informed practice principles
- Ensure that young people, family/carers are able to participate in collaborative shared care, which includes (but not limited to): participation in care team meetings, development of collaborative care plans, sharing information with care team members and involving their family/carers in their care plan where appropriate
- Actively participate and work cooperatively within the multidisciplinary team, collaborative partner organisations and with young people, family/carers, referrers and other stakeholders

**What you will bring**Key Selection Criteria
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Psychology or Social Work
- Current registration with AHPRA as a psychologist or registration with the AASW as a Mental Health Social Worker
- Demonstrated experience working in youth, mental health, alcohol and other drugs, community or similar health services (minimum two years' experience is preferred)
- Experience and recognised training in clinical risk assessment and management (including suicide risk assessment)
- Good knowledge and understanding of the youth mental health and related services sector

- International Police Check (if lived/work overseas in past 10 years)
- Working with Children Check
- Medicare Provider Number
- Driver's Licence - Preferred
