An amazing opportunity has become available and we are seeking a **Events Coordinator** to join our growing team on a **full time** basis.
**Who we are...**
Southport Sharks boasts a diverse range of food and beverage outlets, multi-purpose Events Centre with capacity for 1000 people and a 120 room Mantra Hotel on site.
**The Role...**
You'll be an integral part of the Events team and the Food & Beverage team, working with all areas across the events centre, bars and restaurant.
The Events Coordinator is responsible for creating and planning a broad range of functions for social, wedding or small business functions across your assigned outlets listed above.
In this fast-paced role, you will be responsible for the following, but not limited to:
- Completing administrative duties for proposal and contracts for social, wedding, and small business bookings across the multiple bars and restaurant or as the business requires
- Bookings and coordination of special events across the Club, such as Mothers Day, Christmas Day Lunch, Monthly Trivia and much more
- Complete and distribute BEO's and internal communication within the business
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports within deadlines
- Process financial transactions and invoicing for client contracts and bookings
- Accurately reflect and record all revenues in appropriate tracking systems
- Adapt working days/times in accordance with operational requirements
- Attend weekly BEO meetings
- Communicate effectively with internal and external suppliers
- Working closely with Football Department during football season, organising football related events, particularly home games

**Qualifications...**
- Current Queensland Certification in RSA
**Preferred Skills...**
- Minimum 2 years experience working in Events, particularly in Sales and Operations within a multi-purpose venue
- Ivvy experience and Open Table experience
- Excellent customer service skills and negotiation skills
- Advanced time management skills are essential
- Outstanding written/verbal communication
- Advanced computer skills, using Microsoft Suite
Remuneration package will be offered to the successful applicant based on skills and experience
