Risk Analyst

**About the Role**
An exciting opportunity to join BOQ Group (which includes Bank of Queensland, Virgin Money Australia and ME Bank) as a Risk Analyst during our digital transformation journey on a permanent basis. By joining the digital bank of the future, you will be able to make a difference with curiosity and optimism by supporting control self-assessment implementation across Retail and Business Bank teams, adding significant value to our organisation. With exciting projects currently underway, you will be a key contributor to unique business development and change across the BOQ Group.

As a Risk Analyst, you will sit within the Strategy, Operations & Governance Team (Line 1 Risk Team for Retail and Business Bank Divisions) to support and provide guidance on adherence to the Operational Risk Framework. This role will focus on the implementation of the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) Standard for BOQ Retail and Business Bank divisions to uplift our overall control environment. You will also support the management of other non-financial risk related projects including risk profile review, issue and incident management.

Reporting to our Manager of Risk Strategy, Operations and Governance, you will also provide insights to control uplifting opportunity and work with business owners/front-line risk teams to improve process efficiency.

**About you**
You will be a collaborative people and outcome focussed professional who thrives on working in a fast-paced environment. You will have a willingness and commitment to adapt and learn, having solid communication skills on a verbal and written level to articulate technical information and collaborate with team members.

Y will have an understanding of operational risk and the control self-assessment framework. You will further have knowledge of relevant banking legislations (e.g., APRA CPS220, NCCP, Banking Cod of Practice and Corporations Act) with the ability to analyse and interpret financial, statistical and qualitative data and present it in a logical manner. This requires strong problem-solving skills supported by excellent attention to detail.
