IMG is a global leader in sports, fashion, events, and media. The company manages some of the world's greatest athletes and fashion icons; owns and operates hundreds of live events annually; and is a leading independent producer and distributor of sports and entertainment media. IMG also specializes in licensing, sports training, and league development.
We are looking for an experienced & passionate Marketing Manager to join our team and support the Senior Marketing Manager in delivering first-class marketing for three of our prestigious events in Australia: The Great Ocean Road Running Festival, The NIKE Melbourne Marathon & The Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show. As a key member of our marketing team, you will:
Ensure consumer revenue and attendance is maximised; Grow brand awareness and equity; Engage consumers year round; Deliver on KPIs for stakeholders; Deliver timely sponsor deliverables.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
Product Development & Optimisation
- Support the Senior Marketing Manager to identify & develop new products & revenue streams for our events from new events to new experiences on-site, new merch lines, content etc.
Marketing Strategy & Planning
- Support the Senior Marketing Manager to develop the event marketing strategies & plans for your events as part of our go-to-market process;
- Champion the sourcing of key consumer insights from owned channel audiences & primary research that help to formulate our brand, consumer marketing & sponsorship marketing strategies;
- Work with cross-functional groups (including the X-Portfolio marketing team, event operations, sponsorship sales, PR, creative, eCommerce/ticketing software providers, legal & finance) to deliver successful marketing strategies.
Marketing Campaigns & Always-On Activity
Supporting the Senior Marketing Manager with day-to-day delivery of all aspects of the marketing strategy & plan across all our owned, earned & paid channels - not limited to, but including:
- Managing ticket modelling, ticket sales/revenue forecasting, and ongoing sales with ticket agency/ies throughout the ticket campaigns;
- Planning for, managing & delivering the creative assets and content required on-site at our events including signage, event programs, maps & materials, video & photography, digital animations & sponsor-led content;
- Providing support to PR agency to deliver PR narratives in line with agreed upon objectives;
- Developing managing & overseeing influencer marketing campaigns as and when appropriate as part of our event marketing campaigns and activity alongside our PR teams;
- Support in identifying & managing relationships & activity with paid & contra media partners;
- Creating & managing discount codes & offers for consumers, managing comp & internal VIP ticketing & invites to the event(s);
- Managing performance monitoring, optimisation and reporting of all marketing activity, and action adjustments where necessary to ensure optimisation for maximum performance, reach, and return on investment;
- Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure sponsor and partner marketing requirements are fulfilled and opportunities for reciprocal marketing are maximised;
- Managing & maintaining relationships with key stakeholders & relationships on-site at the events with ticketing;
- Supporting the Senior Marketing Manager to deliver a robust post-event report that includes management of the post event survey process, analysis of results & development of recommendations for the next cycle.
Financial Management:
- Support the Senior Marketing Manager to maintain and optimise the marketing campaign budgets;
- Process any marketing related invoices which have been pre-approved.
Stakeholder Management:
- Attend Sponsor meetings, assist with coordinating presentations and proposals where required;
- Assist with Sponsors account management and digital servicing of partners;
- Liaise with Exhibitors and suppliers as required.
KEY RESULTS AREAS
- Achieve or exceed revenue and attendance targets as well as marketing campaign KPIs for your events;
- Effective budget management & optimization;
- Successful delivery of sponsorship marketing requirements;
- Successful partner & key stakeholder management.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- Event or live experience marketing experience preferred;
- Proficient at supporting the development of 360 event marketing campaigns;
- A proven ability to report on the effectiveness of a marketing campaign;
- Some knowledge and experience of successful end-to-end event marketing budget management;
