Job Overview
This role offers a unique opportunity to work with advanced applications in power grid management. You will be responsible for leading projects and providing technical support to customers throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Lead projects in power grid management and serve as a technical support expert.
Implement control systems at electric utilities and participate in design, planning, and execution of ADMS projects.
Support testing events with customers and work closely with development teams to troubleshoot, prioritize, and test product changes.
Interface with GIS and CIS teams to extract, translate, and load electrical network models and customer data.
Configure and integrate software components to meet contract requirements and provide training to customers on system operation.
Provide technical support to resolve issues observed on live systems.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; degree in Electrical Engineering, Power System Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a Power System Engineering role including Outage Management System and Switch Order Management Application Engineering role.
Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex systems issues in software applications.
Knowledge of system designs, computer systems, engineering practices, and control systems.
Understanding of Electric Distribution Power Systems and modeling is an advantage (Load Flow Studies, FLISR, and VVC/VVO).
Familiarity with electric utilities operations and regulatory requirements.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage time effectively and context switch between multiple tasks.
