Power Systems Engineering Lead

We are seeking a skilled Principal Power Systems Engineer to lead our digital grid management software suite. This role offers broad exposure to advanced applications, including Distribution Power Flow (DPF), Fault Location Isolation & Service Restoration (FLISR), Volt/VAR Control & Optimization (VVC/VVO), Outage Management Systems (OMS), and Switch Order Management (SOM).

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead projects in the ADMS portfolio and serve as technical support expert.
  • Support implementation of control systems at electric utilities.
  • Participate in design, planning, and execution of ADMS projects.
  • Support testing events with the customer.
  • Work closely with functional development teams to troubleshoot, prioritize, and test product changes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or related field; degree in Power System Engineering or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a Power System Engineering role, including Outage Management System and Switch Order Management Application Engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex systems issues in software applications.
  • Knowledge of system designs, computer systems, engineering practices, and control systems.
  • Understanding of Electric Distribution Power Systems and modeling is preferred (Load Flow Studies, FLISR and VVC/VVO).
  • Familiarity with electric utilities operations and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effectively manage time, and context switch between multiple competing tasks.
