Job Title: Grid Connections Manager

We are seeking a skilled Grid Connections Manager to play a crucial role in achieving grid connections required by our projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and submitting grid applications, negotiating with stakeholders, and developing standardized arrangements for grid connections.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of the Australian Grid, experience in negotiating legal and commercial aspects of connection contracts, and established relationships with DNSPs, TNSPs, and AEMO.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to join our team and contribute to the development of our grid connection strategy.

  • Responsibilities:
    • Provide assistance during project development to identify factors influencing and influenced by grid connections.
    • Manage and submit grid applications to DNSPs and TNSPs, ensuring timely submission and progress through the NSPs and AEMO processes.
    • Negotiate with NSPs and AEMO throughout the review process of grid connection applications.
    • Manage review processes for grid connection offers to ensure they meet requirements.
    • Create and maintain framework agreements with ICPs and equipment suppliers.
    • Play a strategic role in developing standardised arrangements for grid connections that reduce installation time and cost.
    • Support project managers with technical assistance and introduce departmental procedures to support grid connection application and assessment.
Requirements:
  • Strong technical knowledge of Australian Grid at both DNSP and TNSP levels.
  • Experience in negotiating legal and commercial aspects of connection contracts.
  • Commercially astute with a good network of contacts across the TNSP and AEMO environment.
  • Established relationships with DNSPs, TNSPs, and AEMO.
  • Previous experience in the design, construction, and operation of PV solar plant.
