**The opportunity**
You will play a key role in shaping the safety and resilience of Warrigal's services, ensuring the well-being of our residents, staff, and support teams across residential care, retirement villages, home care, and isolated workers. Your expertise will guide the development of comprehensive emergency management plans, lead engaging evacuation drills, and provide tailored training to ensure everyone is prepared for any situation. You'll have the opportunity to make a real impact by developing and maintaining business continuity strategies, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with the latest standards. Working closely with emergency services and senior management, you'll drive continuous improvement and help create a culture of safety and preparedness. This exciting opportunity spans Warrigal's locations across the ACT, Regional NSW, and Illawarra, giving you the chance to make a lasting difference in a rewarding and supportive environment.

**The requirements | What it takes to do this work**
**Essential**:
- Tertiary qualifications in Emergency Management, Work Health and Safety (WHS), or a related field.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
- Proven experience in a similar role within aged care, healthcare, or multi-site service settings across ACT, Regional NSW, and Illawarra.
- Strong knowledge and experience in emergency management and business continuity in aged care or healthcare environments.
- Solid understanding of disaster preparedness and recovery principles.
- Familiarity with relevant legislation and standards, such as Aged Care Quality Standards, AS 3745, and ISO 22301.
- Proven ability to deliver training, conduct evacuation drills, and develop strategic plans and policies.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in managing high-stress situations.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders, including emergency services.
- Valid Class C driver's licence.
**Desirable**:
- Certification in Business Continuity Management (BCM) or Fire Safety and Emergency Response Coordination.
