We are seeking a Data Center Facility Manager to lead and ensure 99.999% uptime of all electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems that support critical server operations.
The successful candidate will join a diverse team of software, hardware, network engineers, supply chain specialists, and security experts, collaborating across AWS to maintain the highest standards of safety and security.
This role requires strong communication skills, proven expertise in troubleshooting complex technical issues, and the ability to optimize operational costs while maintaining exceptional reliability standards.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate sound judgment under pressure, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and excel at managing teams.
They should possess a continuous improvement philosophy and growth mindset, with experience in data center operations, facilities management, and team leadership.
This position includes physical requirements such as lifting equipment up to 20 kg, working in confined spaces, and at elevated locations while following safety protocols.
As the role manages a 24x7 shift rotation team, flexibility to work outside normal business hours is essential.
Key job responsibilities
Lead and maintain critical data center infrastructure through rigorous Change Management processes to ensure high-quality operations without customer impact.
Manage teams of 24x7 engineering technicians in all facets of their career.
Drive continuous improvement projects from conception to completion, collaborating with various support teams across the organization.
Coordinate with third-party vendors to ensure SLA compliance while managing operations budget and expenditures effectively.
Routinely operate as the after-hours on-call Data Center Facility Manager for the data centers in the region.
This will include responding to any issues within the data centers and managing the investigation, mitigation, and recovery of the issue(s).
Promote a culture of operational excellence through preventive maintenance, risk management, and process improvement initiatives.
