Data Center Engineering Operations Specialist

The primary objective of this role is to oversee data center engineering operations, encompassing risk management and mitigation strategies, maintenance of critical infrastructure, vendor oversight, and performance metric reporting.

This position is a fixed-term engagement for six months with potential prospects for transitioning into a full-time capacity.

Responsibilities include:

Center Operations Management

• Collaborating with on-site management to ensure contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors adhere to established practices and procedures.

• Maintaining performance benchmarks, conducting in-depth analyses, and preparing reports on critical facility infrastructure operations and maintenance.

• Generating change management requests and incident management tickets as directed.

• Contributing to the development and upkeep of relevant documentation pertinent to business and facility operations.

Maintenance and Emergency Services Support

• Assisting with routine maintenance and emergency response for critical systems such as switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems, etc.

• Participating in the design, implementation, commissioning, and build-out of new facilities.

• Managing Facility assets and providing infrastructure and inventory asset management as directed.

• Interfacing with operational teams for day-to-day operational requirements.

• Resolving infrastructure engineering or services-related issues.

• Delivering exceptional customer service and satisfaction.

• Meeting daily operational hours, shift, and on-call requirements for response during shift rotations.
