- Salary: Up to $130,000 package + benefits
- Role Focus: Analysing energy market trends, developing trading strategies

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Market Analysis**: Conduct comprehensive analysis of energy market trends, including supply and demand dynamics, regulatory changes, and competitor activities.
- **Trading Strategy Development**: Collaborate with the trading team to develop and implement effective trading strategies to capitalise on market opportunities and mitigate risks.
- **Risk Management**: Monitor and manage trading risks, including price risk, operational risk, and credit risk, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- **Financial Modeling**: Develop and maintain financial models to assess the potential profitability of trading activities and support decision-making processes.
- **Performance Monitoring**: Monitor the performance of trading activities against established targets and benchmarks, and identify areas for improvement or optimisation.
- **Reporting and Communication**: Prepare regular reports and presentations on trading performance, market trends, and risk exposures for internal stakeholders and senior management.
- **Compliance**: Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, market rules, and internal policies governing energy trading activities.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in energy trading, financial analysis, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of energy markets, trading strategies, and regulatory frameworks is highly desirable.
