Energy Trading Specialist Position

The Energy Trading Analyst plays a vital role in analyzing energy market trends, developing trading strategies, and managing risks to ensure the company's success.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of energy market trends, including supply and demand dynamics, regulatory changes, and competitor activities.
  • Trading Strategy Development: Collaborate with the trading team to develop and implement effective trading strategies to capitalize on market opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Risk Management: Monitor and manage trading risks, including price risk, operational risk, and credit risk, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain financial models to assess the potential profitability of trading activities and support decision-making processes.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of trading activities against established targets and benchmarks, and identify areas for improvement or optimization.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare regular reports and presentations on trading performance, market trends, and risk exposures for internal stakeholders and senior management.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree: Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in energy trading, financial analysis, or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills, proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Desirable Skills: Knowledge of energy markets, trading strategies, and regulatory frameworks.
