Our Federal Government client is seeking a
**APS6/EL1 Business Partner** who can work in partnership with stakeholders across the agency to execute all aspects of the employee experience.
**About the role**:
APS6 duties:
- Maintain strong and positive internal and external business partner relationships.
- Analyse and explain workforce data to develop and implement action plans in collaboration with leaders.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policy, initiatives and frameworks that deliver, support and complement the ACCC's broader strategies and initiatives.
- Consult and collaborate within and outside P&C to ensure that workplace practices and initiatives are effective and assist the ACCC to achieve its strategic goals and objectives.
- Be an experienced and confident communicator both verbally and written. You will demonstrate this through presentations and contributing to the preparation of reports and decision-making papers.
In addition to the above duties EL1 will conduct:
- Oversee generalist strategic HR support across Divisions relating to the employee lifecycle: recruitment, remuneration, leadership and professional development programs, employee wellbeing, policy compliance and efficiency initiatives.
- Analyse and influence leadership with real time data to gain insights to inform decision making.
- Manage strategic projects in accordance with the Business plan.
- work collaboratively with other members of People and Culture to ensure initiatives exploit broader HR insights.
- Supervise other Business Partners, including mentoring, coaching and supporting performance objectives.
- Work with corporate functions on communication and engagement strategies associated with ACCC wide initiatives such as cultural and workforce initiatives and employee engagement strategies.
- Have superior verbal and written communication skills that you will demonstrate in preparing papers and reports for decision making and presenting at executive meetings.
**Ideally, you will have**:

Technical knowledge:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in HR, AHRI accreditation and/or equivalent HR generalist experience (highly desirable).
- Establishment and maintenance of relationships with senior stakeholders to influence and achieve favourable business outcomes.
A demonstrated ability to effectively:
- Manage and build capability in others by modelling positive behaviours, providing a professional and harmonious working environment, coaching, giving performance feedback, resolving conflict and facilitating career development.
- Engage with stakeholders and manage complex projects or problems with organisation wide implications.
- Contribute to large scale change initiatives.
- Influence and communicate.
EL1:
In addition to the requirements of the APS6 Business Partner:
Technical knowledge:
- Excellent track record of building and maintaining executive relationships and value adding HR expertise to the leaderships team.
- Extensive experience working within complex, high pressure operating environments and demonstrated high levels of resilience.
Leadership capabilities:
- Developing and communicating a clear vision for the work area.
- Ability to lead and build capability in others through coaching, mentoring, performance feedback and facilitating career development.
- Creating a high performing harmonious working environment and modelling expected behaviours.
