**The opportunity**:
SME Connect:
The role is primarily focused on the India Australia RISE Accelerator but shall also contribute to the facilitation and delivery of several SME Connect programs including to develop and deliver upskilling initiatives pitched at industry and or the research sector.
The India Australia Rapid Innovation and Startup Expansion (RISE) Accelerator:
The RISE Accelerator, launched in 2023, provides support to Indian and Australian startups and small-to-medium sized enterprises (SMEs) working on cutting-edge technology and are considering expansion between both countries. The RISE Accelerator upskills participants in international commercialisation via learning sessions, coaching and specialist mentoring.
**Your duties will include**:
- Build and manage relationships between startups/SMEs and industry partners, research institutions, and investors.
- Support commercialization and international expansion efforts for startups/SMEs, including market entry, pilot planning, and R&D project delivery.
- Develop and deliver training sessions on innovation and internationalization for industry and researchers.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and B2B facilitator for RISE and SME Connect programs, adapting to changing needs.
- Contribute to program performance targets and service standards.
- Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, representing SME Connect programs in public and industry forums.
- Uphold CSIRO's values, safety standards, and diversity initiatives.
**Location**:Sydney preferred; other capital cities considered
**Salary**:AU$126,313 - AU$148,014 plus up to 15.4% superannuation

**To be considered you will need**:
- Tertiary qualifications in science/engineering and business are preferred.
- Proven track record in business growth, strategy, technology development, innovation, R&D, and/or commercialization, especially with science or tech-focused startups and SMEs.
- Strong engagement, networking, and collaboration skills; ability to build and maintain productive relationships across the innovation ecosystem.
- Experience in B2B matching, negotiation, and representation.
- Experience in developing and delivering workshops and training on entrepreneurship, innovation, and commercialization.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a history of contributing to cohesive teams and achieving/exceeding performance targets.
