Our client has been established for over 50 years and is a national leader in the manufacturing and packaging materials industry.

They are known for their warm and welcoming culture and recent employee survey results suggest that people love to work here because they enjoy the team they work with.

Their people first approach means that employees get their birthday off every year, there is an on site physiotherapist and their EAP program provides financial coaching, nutritional coaching and legal support. They also have monthly BBQ's, morning teas and a social club. Forget the traffic commute as well because parking is provided here either on site for early risers or street parking for the rest of the team. **What is the opportunity for me?**
Reporting to the General Manager
- People, this is a role where you are a true business partner. The management team like to engage with HR and your relationships will ensure you are able to challenge managers respectfully on key issues and consult across as a true generalist across a variety of areas. **In your role you will be involved in the following key areas**:
**Employee onboarding and talent management-** This includes contributing to workforce planning, preparation of employment contracts and maintaining the induction program

**Leadership and talent development-** This includes contributing to the talent management and succession planning, facilitation of individual development plans and partnering to determine training needs

**Employee Relations and Payroll-** Ensuring operational compliance with relevant legislation, awards, contracts, agreements and group policies. Conducting investigations as required.

**Metrics and Reporting-** Collecting and analysing employee data and workforce analytics to share insights and make recommendations.

**Strategy and Projects-** Contributing to the development and review of strategic people and culture department plans and making recommendations to support key HR initiatives such as EVP, gender equity and retention

**HR Generalist Activities** - Coordination of the annual engagement survey and maintenance of people and culture procedures

You will have a demonstrated knowledge in people development practises and HR related statutory obligations. Your ability to influence and relevant knowledge across employee relations and generalist HR activities ensure you are a valuable resource for the management team. You enjoy a variety of responsibilities and are driven with a desire to succeed but also down to earth and approachable in your style. The team here likes to enjoy coming to work
- so a sense of humour is always appreciated amongst the team. We would be looking for tertiary HR qualifications in this role and the manager is looking for someone who can also act as a 2IC so a desire to develop will be key to your success and career pathway here.
