This role strives to improve all areas of care whilst ensuring our residents achieve an optimal quality of life with a focus on legislative requirements.We are looking at Full Time opportunity, which includes working Monday to Friday.Your work may include:Supervise and manage the care team to ensure the standard of care provided allows residents the highest possible quality of lifeMonitor all residents' care needs to meet their preferences in consideration of cultural, religious or ethnic backgroundParticipate in case conferences and evaluate care plans as per policyComplete resident assessments on admission and as needs/care changesEnsure compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines are undertaken while assisting in maintaining budget and financial requirementsEnsure programs for meeting the needs of seniors are coordinated and developed according to IRT procedures and are designed to account for individual rights, needs and preferencesConstantly strive to attain improvement in all areas of work by participating in continuous improvement programsTo Be Successful You Will HaveCurrent registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency)Minimum 5 years post-graduate nursing experience, with at least 2 years in aged careStrong clinical background in wound care and palliative care (preferred but not essential)Comprehensive knowledge of clinical issues related to ageing, including dementia-related disorders and the management of challenging behavioursWorking knowledge of the Australian National Aged Care Classification (AN-ACC) systemPrevious experience in a supervisory or leadership role (desirable)Proven ability to lead and support a multidisciplinary teamExcellent written and verbal communication skillsBenefits for YouCompetitive pay and more cash in your pocket (less tax) with not-for-profit salary packagingFlexible working conditionsBirthday leave - relax and take a day off on us
