**About the Role**

We are currently seeking an ambitious Purchasing Officer to join our team in Somersby on the Central Coast. In this busy and diverse role, you will be responsible for investigating and sourcing materials and placing orders for various departments across our business.

This role will work across various entities in the group and will primarily involve:

- Investigating and developing supply sources and obtaining quotations
- Liaising with overseas suppliers
- Conducting quality control and inspections on site
- Purchase order maintenance ensuring purchase order arrival dates are correct at all times
- Communicating delays to internal departments
- Amending purchase orders where required to reflect correct quantities and values prior to receiving

**About you**

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin)
- The ability to travel to our sites where required
- The ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- The ability and willingness to learn a diverse business
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
