**About the Role**

We have a position available in our Eagle Farm office for a savvy Purchasing Officer. This is a permanent full time position. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will be required to conduct purchasing, sourcing and procurement from vendors on time and in line with the supply chain framework. In this position, you will
- Conduct Purchasing, Sourcing and Procurement from Vendors
- Create a cost effective and efficient purchasing function across the business
- Maintain vendor relationships
- Process PO’s and STO’s, considerations given to current stock, retails sales, parts and descriptions, lead times, pricing etc.
- Work cross functionally with Service and Project Teams
- Communicate with both internal and external stakeholders
- Initiate new vendors when required
- Champion continuous improvement across the supply chain function and broader business

**About you**
- 5 years purchasing/procurement experience in a similar role
- SAP/Excel essential
- Experience with MRP planning, source lists and purchasing information records
- Parts Procurement within the Resources or Industrial Engineering industry
- Understanding of mechanical and electrical / instrumental products
- Significant experience with both international and domestic logistics essential
- Understanding of SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
- Experience in a role with similar vendor base - OEM Caterpillar, Waukesha and / or Ariel
- An appetite in the pursuit of operational efficiency and operational excellence
