**The Opportunity**:
Our Technology Systems Team is a specialist team within WSP that focuses on providing technology and integration consultancy services, covering Audio Visual, ICT, Telecommunications, Systems Engineering, Automation and Control Systems, Master Planning & Strategy and Security Consultancy and Engineering. We are passionate about tackling complex and sophisticated challenges and delivering innovative and sustainable solutions to create accessible, resilient and connected communities.
**What You Will Do**:
**Main Activities and Responsibilities**:
- Be an ICT Network design specialist / SME and undertake major project design and QA / Peer Review network designs.
- Produce drawings, specifications, calculations, schedules and design reports during all project design phases for ICT solutions.
- Provide specialist ICT advice on ICT Infrastructure, Active Networks, Wireless and specialist technology solutions.
- Support projects in the construction phase by undertaking site inspections, witness testing and commissioning, systems integration testing, on-site Wi-Fi surveys and assisting clients in assessing contractor variation claims.
- Provide ICT solution/product market scans, cost-benefit analysis, options and recommendations.
- Wireless network modelling via radio planning software.
- Coordination with relevant engineering disciplines to ensure the ICT network can support their services (AV, Security, Smart Building, Electrical and Mechanical).
- Participate in activities (discipline, multi-discipline, and others) to extend and share own knowledge.
- Carry out assigned project and design work as delegated in support of technical and commercial standards.
- Contribute as requested to the development of engineering support tools for the business.
- Communicate externally on behalf of the business, both written and verbally to the professional standard expected locally.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, team members and peers.
- Develop strategic business solutions, and designs and provide insights to technology solutions to our clients.
- Work on end-to-end projects from design to implementation.
- Draw upon your experience delivering projects across a variety of sectors, including Health, Education and commercial projects.
- Coordinate design and documentation with other engineering services and with structural and architectural consultants.
- Prepare reports for clients on matters relating to services.
- Record activities contributing to continuing professional development.
- Supervise the work of assigned drafters and graduates, and contribute to their training and development, specifically when assigned as a mentor.
**Your Skills and Experience**:
**Qualifications** (Minimum and Desirable):
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or work-based experience.
- RCDD certification or equivalent certification.
- DCDC certification or equivalent certification.
**Experience, skills and organisational knowledge**
- Typically, 10- 15 years' experience.
- Previous technology experience (minimum 5 years) leading and delivering ICT and Communications projects as well as stakeholder engagement and management.
- Experienced in Data Centre design.
- Previous experience delivering complex technology through a Construction process.
- Proficiency in VISIO.
- Good understanding of Wi-Fi design principles and familiarity with Wi-Fi modelling tools.
- Track record of leading medium-scale projects and contributing to larger projects.
- Expertise in a global consulting engineering setting.
- Data centre, Defence, and Critical Infrastructure project experience.
- Providing technical project delivery, management and quality assurance as well as further developing business opportunities with existing clients.
- Developing technical documentation standards and detailed documentation of systems and report writing.
- Delivering projects on time, within budget and to scope, with the aim of exceeding client expectations.
- Contribute a high level of innovative and strategic thinking to projects.
- Coach and mentor more junior consultants.
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment.
