An exciting leadership opportunity is now open for a strategic and experienced health professional to join our team as the
Executive Officer/Director of Nursing and Midwifery (EO/DON)
for
Naracoorte Health Service
and
Penola War Memorial Hospital
.
In this dual-site role, you will provide operational and strategic leadership to deliver high-quality, safe, and person-centred care. You'll lead multidisciplinary teams, manage resources, and drive innovation across clinical and support services in a dynamic rural healthcare setting.
About the role
Lead and manage nursing/midwifery and corporate services across both sites
Oversee patient care, safety, quality systems, and governance
Drive change, staff development, and service improvement initiatives
Build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
About you
AHPRA registered nurse/midwife with significant post-registration experience
Proven leadership in health service management, strategy, and clinical governance
Strong communication, critical thinking, and change management skills
Experience in aged care, acute services, and regional health is desirable
