As a Marketing & Sales Operations Consultant at Caterpillar, you will provide both Caterpillar and Dealers a single point of contact for the Marketing & Sales Excellence program and manage the portfolio of businesses and relationships between our organizations.

Leading the effort of developing and prioritizing dealer and industry strategies of the Dealer's business and operations (machines, engines, parts, rental, used, etc.), improve and develop specific channel capabilities, and own and enhance the overall relationship with the dealer network with Strategy Development and Execution in the Marketing and Sales Operations areas.

You will work closely with industry, districts and dealer senior leadership team on a frequent basis across all lines of business to identify opportunities and improve dealer performance through increased retail participation, sales and revenue in support of Asia Pacific Services Growth strategy; and supporting the functional consultants.

**JOB DUTIES**:
Effective communication is a must to ensure the execution of the Marketing & Sales Excellence Program throughout APD. This includes keeping districts, dealers, Industry Groups informed of engagement status and ensuring coordination of activities with Global Brand and Marketing team and business partners.
- Understand the Global enterprise strategies and initiatives on Marketing and Sales capabilities and drive strategic discussion and alignment between industry, Global Marketing and Sales and dealers to create synergy
- Owning the Asia Pacific Marketing & Sales Excellence Program as APD representative/lead; working with Global Brand & Marketing team and business partners to support APD district & dealers in execution
- Performing complex data analysis to develop specific recommendations regarding dealer capabilities and processes, implementing strategic solutions which are aligned with enterprise goals.
- Supporting review of dealer Customer Relationship Management processes, identify areas needing improvement, work with dealers to develop an executable action plan and govern dealer execution of such plans; supporting the functional consultants as needed
- Lead and teach enterprise business partners (dealers and Caterpillar) in the marketing discipline evolving to long-term coaching as the process matures

**REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**:

- Strong understanding of the marketing process including the components of customer understanding, competitive positioning and proficient in marketing principles.
- Consultative skills utilizing the Marketing Operations process to collaborate with dealers and enterprise partners to develop products or services, identify the most effective techniques to structure crucial elements of Marketing to measure their impact on business results (revenue, market leadership, loyalty, etc.)
- Strong interpersonal skills in guiding and mentoring dealers & districts as well as other positions within APD to provide direction and development of marketing capabilities, strategies, objectives, and measuring results.
- Strong analytical skills are required to perform detailed analysis and prepare strategic plans, utilizing analytical tools such as Excel, Minitab or Tableau.
- Bachelor's degree (Business/Marketing or related field preferred), with at least 10 years of experience in Marketing and/or Sales (Including Digital Marketing and Sales) is strongly desired
