GenesisCare Oncology has an exciting opportunity available for a Patient Accounts Officer to join us on a permanent, full-time basis within our Tugun clinic on the glorious Gold Coast. You'll be responsible for the management of patient accounts, including the creation and issue of patient estimates, generation of invoices, receipting and debt collection. This role provides support to Clinicians by ensuring patients are fully informed of the billing system and the funding mechanisms of Medicare and the relevant private health funds. The position also assists qualified patients to understand and access affordable treatment with the use of the GenesisCare EasyPay service.

More specifically, you will:
- Management of Patient Account Enquiries- Effectively communicate the treatment fee structure and attend to patient account enquiries- Clear understanding of the patient registration and billing systems.- First point of contact for patient account enquiries, received either over the phone or face -to
- face- Carryout all procedures to facilitate the operation of EasyPay- Ensure patient invoices are generated and distributed on the nominated day.- Sundry invoices have been created e.g. medical reporting fees- Perform a full function accounts receivable role including receipting payments, processing adjustments, refunds and write-offs; processing authorised fee changes.- Manage outstanding accounts- Contact stakeholders including patients, DVA and/ or Medicare regarding outstanding payments- Covering the front desk during times of leave or heavy workloads

We're interested in hearing from people who have:
- Medical accounts processing skills including knowledge of Medicare, DVA and private health funds.- Demonstrated ability in using clinical administration systems and Microsoft Office software particularly Excel- Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external business stakeholders- Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills- Proven experience to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment- Diploma of Medical Administration or equivalent experience
