**Legal Assistant, County Court Appeals and Contraventions**

**About the Role**:
The County Court Appeals and Contraventions division have an ongoing, full-time opportunity for a Legal Assistant.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with a small, dedicated team of Managing Principal Solicitors, Legal Support Officers, and solicitors, providing high-level legal and administrative support.

This is a fantastic opportunity to expand your professional network across the Victorian justice sector, working with key stakeholders such as witnesses, counsel, and government agencies including Corrections Victoria and Victoria Police. You will enjoy a high level of autonomy and independence in your work and utilise your experience working internally within the Office of Public Prosecutions.

**About you**:
This role is ideal for individuals with a background in legal administration, with the ability to manage large caseloads and work under tight deadlines. You will also be skilled in maintaining spreadsheets and databases, using initiative to solve problems, and efficiently handling solicitors' requests for assistance, as well as external queries.

This role is not ideal for admitted solicitors.
