At The Farm Cafe, our business is all about creating the perfect Wedding and Event setting for our clients who are celebrating onsite at the Collingwood Children's Farm. We are looking for enthusiastic, professional, friendly, dedicated and detailed coordinator to join our team as a seasonal Wedding & Event Planner.
We offer:
- Work in a beautiful natural environment located just 4kms from Melbourne CBD
- Approximately 22 hours of casual work
- Flexible work and working from home to complete admin tasks is available. Attendance at the workplace midweek and for the client's function (usually Fri, Sat or Sun) is required

Objective of the role:
The Event Planner works with the client to plan and create their special event. They see that the planning is carried out in a smooth and efficient manner, and that On the Day the clients vision is executed and expectations exceeded.
Work location:
The main work location is the Collingwood Children's Farm in Abbotsford with Ceremonies and Receptions held onsite at various locations.
The Event Planner is responsible for:
- Attending each client's event to supervise staff to set up the venue, direct vendors and greet and direct the client
- Ensuring the areas to be utilised during an event are set up as planned
- Quality control of event styling and presentation of flowers and signage
- Working within the rules of the Collingwood Children's Farm
- Contributing to the ongoing improvement of events production which may improve guest services or departmental operations
- Officiate sales tours to assist with forward bookings
- Be self-motivated, able to follow directions accurately and to work as an integral part of the team
Experience:
At least 3 years' experience working in wedding/event production or hospitality area.
Other Skills and Qualifications:
- Highly developed oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Sound written skills
- Current Victorian Driver's license
- Victorian RSA
