We are a 80-place centre now on the lookout for our next Cook to join our fun loving team
The roleThis role enables you to play an active part in creating healthy menus.You'll have access to a national network of centre cooks who regularly share recipes, questions, ideas and tips
You'll also be encouraged to utilise the amazing feed Australia program – a free program enabling cooks to plan, budget and access healthy menus to enable children's growth and development while in child care.About youEfficient and capable cookAble to prepare, implement and evaluate the nutritional content of menus for children of all agesExperienced in bulk meal preparation, online ordering, stock management and budget controlStrict about complying with relevant food safety and hygiene regulations and standardsAble to cater for individual child requirements including allergies, specific dietary requirements and needsKeen to participate in the early educational opportunities of teaching children about healthy food by sharing in lessons and family eventsYou already haveCurrent Food Safety and Handlers (Health and Community) CertificateCertificate III in Commercial Cookery / equivalent (desirable)Experience in an early childhood settingReliable transport to and from our centreCurrent first aid certificate (including asthma and anaphylactic training) and resuscitation certificateWhy work for Affinity:If you're looking for a values-led organization with incredible people making a genuine difference.Our mission is to realise the potential in everyone – from children to educators, from managers to our vibrant centre support office team.To be sure, our portfolio of centres is growing about as fast as the little people in our care, we are focused on delivering a lifelong learning approach resulting in quality early education and care.Our Safety CommitmentAt Affinity Education, we believe that child safety is everyone's responsibility.
