**Your New Role**

Responsibilities include:

- Manage IT hardware asset portfolio with respect to risk, cost control, governance, compliance, and performance objectives
- Plan and implement IT hardware asset life cycle strategy; advise Procurement and IT Operations in procurement strategies for IT hardware acquisition
- Optimise usage and cost of IT hardware deployments
- Manage acquisition, deployment, monitoring/maintenance, tracking, security, and final disposition of IT assets
- Ensure a clear understanding of contractual service support requirements and work to maintain compliance with service agreements
- Oversee the documentation and management of contract-related information
- Develop and maintain documentation for asset and configuration management processes and procedures. This includes creating standard operating procedures, work instructions, and guidelines to ensure consistency and clarity.
- Ensure that asset and configuration data is fit for its intended purpose and delivers value to the business. Align data management practices with organizational goals and objectives.
- Manage the IT asset lifecycle and configuration items for both hardware and software, specifically for end-users

**Qualifications**:
**About You and What You'll Bring**

You have current and relevant experience in managing technology assets throughout their lifecycle while ensuring they are optimally used and tracked.

You will lead and influence others through the provision of advice, recommendations and proposals, and you will meet challenges with tack and diplomacy. This will be supported by your sound judgement, high-level problem solving and issue management skills. In addition, you will have a passion for driving performance improvements and will use your expertise and leadership skills to motivate and manage staff within the team to achieve organisational outcomes.

Your skills in the following areas will be highly valued:
**Skills**
- A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, along with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in IT Service Management (ITSM), specifically in implementing Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) or relevant work experience.
- Experience in managing the IT asset lifecycle and configuration items for both hardware and software, specifically for end-users.
- Familiarity with ITSM ticketing tools is essential.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of asset and configuration management practices and principles.
- Possess a basic understanding of ITIL V4 processes and principles.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary to effectively interact with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
- Effective time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail are important to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
