Optimisation Leader - Embedded Linux Expert
The role involves leading a team of engineers to optimise the Ubuntu integration for IoT and server-class hardware platforms and software stacks.
As an optimisation leader, you will be responsible for developing your team through coaching, mentoring, leading by example, and feedback.
You will oversee commercial engagements and support timely delivery on agreed project milestones.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading a distributed engineering team to design and implement optimal Ubuntu integration for the latest hardware platforms and software stacks.
Engaging with commercial partners to deliver a delightful, optimised Ubuntu experience on their platforms.
Developing the team through coaching, mentoring, leading by example, and providing regular feedback.
Overseeing commercial engagements and supporting timely delivery on agreed project milestones.
Requirements
Proven experience in working with Linux distributions, debian packaging, and high-performance, server-class hardware.
Effective communication skills in English, both written and oral.
Demonstrated experience managing or leading a team of software engineers.
Understanding of agile software development methodologies.
