Job Title: Embedded Linux Performance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Embedded Linux Performance Specialist to lead our team in optimizing Ubuntu integration for IoT and server-class hardware platforms and software stacks.

About the Role:
  • Lead a distributed engineering team to design and implement optimal Ubuntu integration for the latest hardware platforms and software stacks.
  • Engage with commercial partners to deliver a delightful, optimized Ubuntu experience on their platforms.
  • Develop the team through coaching, mentoring, leading by example, and providing regular feedback.
  • Oversee commercial engagements and support timely delivery on agreed project milestones.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Performance Optimization: Lead the team in identifying areas for performance improvement and implementing optimized solutions.
  • Platform Expertise: Collaborate with engineers to ensure seamless integration of Ubuntu with various hardware platforms.
  • Team Management: Develop and coach team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Commercial Engagement: Work closely with commercial partners to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in working with Linux distributions, debian packaging, and high-performance, server-class hardware.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both written and oral.
  • Demonstrated experience managing or leading a team of software engineers.
  • Understanding of agile software development methodologies.
