**Here's an overview of our role**:
We have an exciting opportunity for an engagement specialist to join us at a time when the energy system is undergoing a once in a generation transformation, to assist us develop a regulatory proposal to support us on this journey.

You will work within a team and be responsible for developing, designing and delivering a broad and deep engagement program, to collaborate with and empower customers.

The engagement program will be multi-dimensional, engaging broadly with our community groups, deeply with industry experts and aligning with other electricity businesses. We will be exploring with customers and stakeholders on how we should tackle the transformational challenges as well as engaging on other key facets of our 2026-31 regulatory proposal, to be submitted to the Australian Energy Regulator (AER).

This is a 3 year fixed term contract.

**A little about you**:
You will have recent and extensive engagement experience, preferably gained through direct involvement with a regulated business, government body, consultancy or community/advocacy organisation.

With a passion for engaging on complex, challenging issues which cut across core questions on intergenerational equity and fairness, you will champion customers as partners, as well as act as a source of insight and guidance as the program is brought together.

You will have:

- A track record of building relationships with stakeholders across a range of skillsets and diverse backgrounds while delivering to tight deadlines in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Qualifications or extensive experience in a relevant field such as community engagement, public participation, community development or social science.
- The ability to translate technical or complex concepts into a form digestible by a diverse audience.
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
- Ability to work under limited supervision to tight deadlines, prioritise work and manage time effectively.
