The D&S Planner & Buyer role is accountable for f orecasting activities associated with customers and products and the subsequent procurement activities and overall effectiveness of inventory with a key focus on maximising the return on investment and service to our customers. The purpose of the role is to build a forward visibility of future customer requirements, set supply policies and ensure purchase orders are placed effectively and to service level KPI's.

The role engages closely with key internal and external stakeholders - Sales, Operations, Finance, Suppliers and Customers requiring strong analytical, influencing and commercial skills. We are looking for people with a customer focused way of looking at complex issues and solving them.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage and maintain the creation of an accurate demand plan in support of the sales forecast for defined sales markets / customers across the APAC region.
- Deliver forecast accuracy improvements against defined KPI's through collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Validate demand for project related business; set the inventory strategy and the effective supply plans to meet project demand deadlines.
- Overseeing the placement of project and complex customer inventory to initial customer requirements providing a just in time delivery service
- Maintain day-to-day communication with Global sales operation team and other groups on the progress and status of major projects
- Utilize the Anixter purchase plan to identify suitable suppliers and place purchase orders in line with key KPI's
- Drive automation and simplification within our processes and co-operative workstream planning
- Monitor inventory l evels and provide mitigation plans and then drive actions when necessary.
- Responsible to the business for key inventory measures such as Turn, Stock Health, Inventory provisions and inventory to budget

**Requirements**:

- Demand/Supply Planning/Procurement experience
- Credentials of working with high SKU counts, multiple suppliers and customers across geographies
- Experience of S&OP principles and methods is highly desirable
- Experience of project lead demand planning desirable
- Microsoft Excel, Access, Power BI and data manipulation skills with the demonstrated ability to process into tangible outputs, recommendations and actions
- Sound commercial and business acumen
- Prior experience in communication infrastructure, security technology, wire and cable or other electrical/electronic products desirable, but not essential
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to create and deliver presentations to stakeholder groups under "key relationships
- Fluent in English but Spoken and written languages other than English would be helpful (but not essential)
