Materials Planner Role

 

Job Description

As a Materials Planner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and efficient procurement of materials for production. Your responsibility will include daily, weekly, and monthly planning and procurement processes to guarantee that all necessary materials are available when needed.

You will be responsible for creating purchase orders based on material requirements planning (MRP) data, tracking and following up on outstanding purchase orders, leading stocktakes and physical inventories, and communicating with suppliers and internal stakeholders to maximize production planning and capacity.

This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

We are seeking an experienced Materials Planner who possesses:

  • Strong knowledge of materials planning principles and practices
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and suppliers
  • Proficiency in SAP and Excel
  • Strong customer focus and attention to detail

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar role within a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment.
