Seeking APS5, APS6 and EL1 **Policy Officers** to work in the transport sector on interesting work with visible social outcomes You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team playing a key role to assist in reducing greenhouse gases and other emissions from cars, trucks, trains and ships.
- 6 - 18 month contracts
- Non-ongoing, Labour hire or S26 transfers are all options
- Flexibility in the form of working from home, part time and working remotely

- Great exposure and opportunities to learn and engage with other divisions, departments and stakeholders
- Baseline clearance preferred
- Qualifications in law, economics or environmental policy are desirable, but not essential

You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team playing a key role to assist in reducing greenhouse gases and other emissions from cars, trucks, trains and ships.

Ideally you will have one of the below desired expertise, skills and experience:

- Ability to draft legislation with a creative legal mind, ideally with some experience with legislation
- Experience working on drafting instructions
- Ability to analyse the social, economic, financial and political impacts of reducing emissions in the surface transport sectors and improving safety in domestic waterways
- Strong analytical, research, problem solving skills
- Outstanding writing skills, can communicate with influence
- Ability to show initiative to complete tasks and work cooperatively in a team
- Demonstrated good judgement and common sense
- Enthusiasm

Our client supports part time, working from home and working remotely including outside Canberra where their main office is and especially in rural and remote communities that are able to connect with their worksites.
