**About this role**:
An exciting and rare opportunity of General Manager has come available at a highly respected Sydney based architecture practice. Leading this successful practice is three Directors, who have all been part of the company for several years and they have seen it go from strength to strength, having won multiple awards, and expanded greatly in size. They now seek a General Manager to help leverage on this success and be a valuable asset to achieve their goals for the years ahead.They are requiring a General Manager who upholds the skills to oversee and support 5 operational streams (HR, Clients and Marketing, IT, Office Support, Design leads), whilst also playing a valuable staffing member with finance forecasting and resourcing. You will be working closely with the directors to drive the strategic plan and ensure all operational tasks are being meet.This practice prides itself on the support they provide their staff both personally and personally. They consistently ensure peoples work is being recognised and encourage collaboration. Having designed numerous break out rooms across the studio, they model working from home and offer flexible working hours.
**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Working alongside Directors to ensure business is operating efficiently and commercially and achieving/working toward the succession plan.
- Oversee, support and manage 5 operational streams. This will involve weekly meeting with leaders to ensure procedures and operations are being performed correctly.
- Manage and run regular reports on project finances, and collaboratively work with Project leads to ensure project profitability.
- Help with compliance, legal documents, QA's and registrations
- Be an overall driving force and leader for the practices succession plan

**Skills and Experience**:

- Proven track record and success in similar role within the design industry
- Strong managerial skills and ability to lead a business strategy plan
- Confidence to handle commercial finances
- Experience in governance, compliance and risk management
