We are seeking an experienced Deli Manager and Assistant Deli Manager to join our team at Hector's Deli' in the heart of Melbourne, VIC.
In this dynamic full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our busy deli operation, ensuring exceptional customer service and the smooth running of the department.
What you'll be doing
Manage the day-to-day operations of the deli, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and customer service
Ensure the deli counter is well-stocked and maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation
Train and supervise the deli team, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service
Liaise with suppliers to order and manage inventory, ensuring optimal product availability
Implement and monitor compliance with food safety and health regulations
Analyse sales data and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement
Work closely with the store management team to achieve overall store objectives
What we're looking for
Proven experience as a Deli Manager or Assistant Deli Manager, essential with history in a busy hospitality environment
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team
Preference for strong BOH/Chef experience.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
Proficient in using retail management software and point-of-sale systems
A passion for food and a keen eye for detail
