OverviewAmazon Web Services is seeking a dynamic and motivated Account Manager to join our Public Sector team in Melbourne.
The territory covers a portfolio of State Government customers across Victoria, working on impactful projects involving AI, data, analytics, cloud and IT modernisation.
AWS is focused on innovation and customer obsession, continually reinventing the future of cloud computing.ResponsibilitiesIncrease adoption of AWS cloud services in a defined territoryChallenge outdated approaches to IT — utilise internal resources to drive customer outcomesIncrease revenue across a portfolio of customersDrive adoption in a defined set of accounts to meet or exceed revenue targetsCreate and maintain a robust sales pipeline of opportunities in existing accounts as well as driving net new businessCreate and articulate a compelling value proposition to customersAnalyze sales/metrics data from your accounts to help evolve the strategyAccelerate customer adoption through education and engagement — build, develop and then execute on an account and territory strategyWork with AWS partners to manage joint selling opportunitiesAssist customers in identifying use cases for adoption of cloud servicesDevelop long-term strategic relationships with key accountsBasic Qualifications3-5 years+ account management and/or business development experience in the IT industryExperience in enterprise technology and business solutions salesSales experience with a focus on quota-carrying rolesPreferred Qualifications5+ years experience selling cloud and/or SaaS solutions into governmentExperience working with consulting partners and system integratorsBachelor degree or equivalentAbout The TeamDiverse experiences are valued.
