Job DescriptionAn opportunity for a Management Accountant to join an organisation in the property management space.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for a portfolio of properties.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end and year-end financial reporting.
- Monitor and manage budgets, forecasts, and cash flow for assigned properties.
- Reconcile accounts, including bank accounts and tenant ledgers, to ensure financial accuracy.
- Collaborate with property managers to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
- Review and manage property-related expenses and invoices for accuracy and compliance.
- Assist with audits and ensure adherence to compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Provide regular financial updates to internal and external stakeholders.
A successful Property Accountant should have:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional qualifications such as CA or CPA (or working towards them).
- Experience in property accounting or a similar role within the property industry.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
