The Sushi Hub Kotara is a Japanese fast food restaurant located at Westfield Kotara, which serves a broad range of Japanese cuisine and sushi. The business has been trading successfully since 2015. As a proud member of the Sushi Hub's network of over 150 retail stores in Australia, Sushi Hub Kotara is committed to serve the freshest and best quality all-day Japanese cuisine and sushi to our customers at Newcastle.

**Tasks and Core Responsibilities**
- Managing the day-to-day operation of our store, and ensuring the store is well-maintained, clean, and meets the highest standard of presentation
- Recruiting, training and supervising our staff, including conducting performance reviews and identifying talent for upskilling.
- Implementing promotions and events as directed by the head office
- Placing orders for stocks and overseeing the inventory to ensure the availability and freshness of our products, managing waste for costs control, and devising strategies to minimize waste
- Leading the team to deliver exceptional customer service and to enhance customer satisfaction by promptly and professionally attending to customer enquiries
- Ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety regulations, food safety standards and company policies
- Managing daily front and back-of-house Sushi Hub Kotara operations while upholding safety and food quality standards
- Preparing store budget and regular reports on store performance, including sales, staffing, inventory management, and providing recommendations for operational improvement

**Requirements**:
A minimum of 3 years' experience as retail manager is required. While experience in Japanese Cuisine is advantageous, it is not mandatory. Fluency in English is crucial due to the emphasis on Front of House duties, and proficiency in other language such as Mandarin and Japanese is considered beneficial.

**Job Type**: Full-time

**Salary**: $80,000 + Super per annum

Pay: $80,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

- Retail management: 3 years (required)
- Working towards sales targets and KPIs: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
